Chris has for many years been well ahead of new and emerging trends and technologies, waiting patiently for the world to catch up. Not so long ago, talk about artificial intelligence seemed the province of nerdy academia, with little real work application or understanding. Now we are wondering if we should simply ask ChatGPT what it would like us to do and when it wants to take over.

For those of us left who feel honour bound to try and control and use technology rather than surrender and be trampled over by it, Chris offers a yoke to place around its neck. We may be unable to control all of the wild excesses of technology, but the great leaps forward in physics and biology didn’t see us destroy the universe, so there is no reason the AI revolution can’t be a force for good as well.
